Women of the State of New Jersey seek to change the family court system for the best interests of our children.

Our Mission:

To pass the Protective Parent Reform Act in New Jersey and create positive changes in our family court system through legislation and awareness.
Suggested reform:
  • Pass legislation to put a cap on fees attorneys can charge for child custody cases that involve a best interests determination of a child.
  • Child custody decisions should consider if the motivations for seeking custody are retaliatory when the parent requesting custody has a history of domestic violence, emotional abuse and controlling behavior.
  • Make it illegal to sanction a parent with loss of custody for reporting child abuse/neglect/spousal abuse to DYFS and/or the family court by passing the Protective Parent Reform Act in New Jersey.
  • Require tougher enforcement of child support collection and monitor, measure and handle complaints for failure to enforce.
  • Where domestic violence is an issue and/or a restraining order has been issued against the non-custodial parent, provide 48 hour police supervision of the custodial parent after the child custody  order/decision has been rendered in family court.
  • Prosecute perjury for false testimony in child custody proceedings where the physical and/or emotional welfare of a child is endangered and/or adversely affected as a result of such false statement.
