Our Mission:
To pass the Protective Parent Reform Act in New Jersey and create positive changes
in our family court system through legislation and awareness.
Suggested reform:
- Pass legislation to put a cap on fees attorneys can charge for child
custody cases that involve a best interests determination of a child.
- Child custody decisions should consider if the motivations for seeking custody are retaliatory
when the parent requesting custody has a history of domestic violence, emotional abuse and controlling behavior.
- Pass the Protective Parent Reform Act in New Jersey.
- Require tougher enforcement of child support.
- Where domestic violence is an issue and/or a restraining order has been issued against the non-custodial
parent, provide 48 hour police supervision of the custodial parent after the child custody order/decision has been rendered
in family court.
- Prosecute perjury for false testimony in child custody proceedings where the physical and/or emotional
welfare of a child is endangered and/or adversely affected as a result of such false statement.
